Altus Early Childhood recently celebrated its annual Farm Day with the help of Altus FFA! From tractors and baby pigs to miniature ponies and homemade butter, our students enjoyed a fun-filled day of hands-on learning about agriculture!
A big thank you to Altus FFA for helping bring the farm to life for our youngest Bulldogs!

The #2-ranked Lady Bulldog Volleyball Team will be hosting the regional tournament on Monday, October 12. Gates open at 3:00 p.m., and the first game begins at 4:00 p.m. Please note that the ONLY passes that will be accepted are the OSSAA playoff passes. Student passes, faculty ID's, Gold Cards, etc will not be accepted per OSSAA rules.
Tickets are $8, cash only, and can be purchased at the door.
Come out and cheer on our Lady Bulldogs to victory!

In addition to Homecoming, Altus High School celebrated College Application Week last week.
GEAR UP sponsored the events, which culminated in a college application party. GEAR UP representatives and AHS counselors helped students fill out applications, and GEAR UP paid the application fees for those applying to OKLAHOMA colleges!
OVER 160 AHS seniors completed college applications!

As a tribute to Dolly Parton’s legacy, giving back, particularly to children, has been honored on September 25th as “Give Like Dolly Day.” 9/25
In support of Shortgrass Arts and Humanities Council, we are delighted to have the opportunity to allow a donations collection in between the first and second quarters of this Friday night’s 9/25 homecoming football game at THE ROCK!
Every donation will be dedicated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Jackson County. Currently, they serve 811 children, which represents 36% of the eligible children in Jackson County. This program aims to provide free, age-appropriate books to children from birth to five years old, with the goal of increasing the number of books available to them.
We encourage everyone to take a moment to give like Dolly.
