Academic Team Tryouts will be at 3:00 on Wednesday, Aug 28. If your student is interested in trying out and rides a bus, please make alternate arrangements for pick up!
Out of an abundance of caution due to the water boil restrictions and not being able to provide enough water to students, Altus Public Schools will be closed on Friday, August 23. As always, student and staff safety is our priority. All out-of-town athletic events will continue as scheduled.
Due to the water loss across the district, Altus Public Schools will close at 11:00 today. Buses will run normal routes at 11:00. There will be no after-school daycare.
AIS Band parent meeting will be tomorrow, Aug 21 at 5:30 in the AIS band room! 🎶🎼
This afternoon a fire alarm was inadvertently activated at Altus Intermediate School. Students, faculty, and staff were evacuated using school fire emergency procedures. Once it was determined that there was no fire, students, faculty, and staff returned to the school building to continue their normal school routine.
We are thankful that the alert system worked properly and that there was no credible threat.
