Altus Schools to hold One-Stop Enrollment on August 2
Enrolling a child in any of the seven Altus Public Schools campuses or local Headstart locations is as simple as ONE stop!
“Our goal is to make enrolling in Altus Public Schools a stress-free event,” said Amanda Davis, director of public relations for Altus Schools. “One-Stop Enrollment is much more efficient, as parents are not only able to enroll all of their children, but also may sign them up for busing, extended-day care, the school lunch program, Parent Portal and more.”
Altus Schools will be enrolling all new students on Friday, August 2, in the Altus High School Cafeteria, located at the corner of Park Avenue and Cypress. The event is come and go and will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Parents may make one stop, complete all paperwork, and enroll all of their children. There’s no need to drive to each school.
All students must have an online registration and One-Stop paperwork completed before they are considered enrolled in Altus School. Online Registration can be completed on the Altus Public Schools website before One Stop Enrollment or at One Stop Enrollment. Visit altusps.com to complete the Online Registration.
Students who are enrolling in Altus Schools for the first time should bring the following items: Birth certificates (K & Pre-K), proof of residency (such as proof of payment of local or ad valorem taxes, title to a residential property in the district, valid and unexpired mortgage/lease agreement, receipt for payment of rent, current utility bill, or notarized affidavit verifying residency), current immunization records, Social Security Numbers for each child (optional), previous school records, and proof of custody (for children not living with a parent).
The first day of school is set for Thursday, August 15 with Meet the Teacher Day being held on Monday, August 12.
