LEO Club
SPONSOR Mrs. Tanya Cramer
The Altus High School LEO Club is a youth organization sponsored by the Altus Lions Club International. “LEO” stands for Leadership, Experience, Opportunity. We pledge and strive to do good deeds every day to benefit everyone around us, our high school and community. Leadership qualities and experience are developed by giving back to others through community service. There are many different activities and volunteer opportunities we participate in. Throughout the year we have helped with the Animal Shelter, Adoption Events, Dog & Cat Vaccine Clinics, WOSC Wellness Symposium & Health Fair, STEM Achievement Foundation, Safety “Spooky” Town Clean up, Alley Cat Clean Up, Harvest for the Hungry, FUMC Love Bags, FUMC Project Noel, Angel Tree Gifts for AHS students, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Altus Christmas Parade, Breakfast with Santa, concessions, Bulldog Bonanza, Open Street Market, Walkin’ on Chalk, Rock’n Rumble and much more! In 2019, the LEO Club’s chalk drawing won the Walkin’ On Chalk contest and the Lions/LEO Club’s “Christmas in the Jungle” float won the Christmas parade! We also host get-togethers for the group to hang out, have fun and get to know each other better. We meet new people, become friends, have fun and help transform Altus into a better place. Everyone is welcome, join the LEO Club at Altus High School today!
