Social Studies Department

The Altus High School Social Studies program is designed to be an integrated study of the social sciences. Our purpose is to prepare students to become responsible citizens through the study of various coursework, including knowledge of the human condition, how it has changed over time, the variations that occur in different physical environments and cultural settings, and the emerging trends that appear likely to shape the future in an interdependent world.
