Baccalaureate: Sunday, May 20, 2018 @ 3:00 p.m. Graduation: Friday, May 25th, 2018 @ 8:00 p.m.
Men wear dark slacks and collared white shirt with tie under gown. Wear dress shoes (no athletic shoes).
Ladies wear dress or skirt and blouse or moderate shorts under gown. You must wear appropriate dress shoes and the white collar that comes with your gown.
National Honor Society and Top Ten sashes and ropes are the only accessories allowed. There will be no writing or decorating on caps.
Failure to adhere to proper dress requirements and procedures will jeopardize participation in the ceremonies.
Baccalaureate-Those seniors wishing to participate in the Baccalaureate program need to meet in the auditorium, dressed in cap and gown, no later than 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20th. You must be present for practice—there will be no saved seats. The program will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m.
Graduation—Practice will begin at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24th in the stadium. You must attend this practice—be on time! There will be no saved seats. Students arriving before 6:00 p.m. will have the best opportunity for choice of seats. (Some seats may have to be assigned.)
At practice, students may be assigned alphabetized seating. Those arriving late will have seats assigned. Top Ten and NHS must arrive on time and sit in the front row. We should be finished by 8:00 p.m. only if everyone is present and on time. You must adjust any personal agendas, including jobs, around this time frame.
On May 25th, the evening of graduation, we need to assemble in the cafeteria in cap and gown and in your proper seat at 7:15 p.m.
You must have the appropriate dress to participate.
Alternate Site for Graduation Ceremony (Rain)—Gymnasium
Guest admission to the gym will be by ticket only. Each graduating senior will receive 6 tickets from their academic (alphabetic) counselor. Seniors must pick up his or her allotment of tickets by May 23rd for their family. This will be done in person acknowledging receipt by signature. Please note that these tickets will be used only if the ceremonies are held indoors, and they are general admission tickets. There will be no reserved seats. If tickets are lost or stolen, no other tickets will be issued. Additional seating will be available in Eula B. Peterson Auditorium where the ceremonies will be seen over closed circuit TV. No ticket will be needed for the auditorium.
